By filling out the form below, your business is applying to receive a one-year sponsored membership in the Buy Local Baltimore campaign for the 2009 directory year. If you were a sponsored business in 2008, you must apply again if you would like to be sponsored again in 2009. All sponsorship applications must be received by August 31, 2008 in order to be included in the 2009 directory.
Buy Local Baltimore is a city-wide initiative to support independent and locally owned businesses. As a Buy Local Baltimore member, you will receive Buy Local marketing materials and be included in our print and online directories.
To be eligible for sponsorship, businesses must meet the following criteria:
Minority-owned (African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, or Native American) and women-owned (51% ownership) businesses in compliance with Ordinance 211 and the Mayor's Executive Order.
The business is independently owned, as opposed to a franchise of a public corporation. (It is free to make decisions about the name, look and feel of the business, about the menus, services and products offered, and able to freely choose whether or not to sell locally made products and/or work with other local service businesses.)
The business owner must live within 50 miles of the store location.
